Good morning. We are notifying you of a Powerschool Data Breach that happened over the holidays affecting Powerschool customers nationwide.
We have been told by Powerschool that the parties that orchestrated the breach have been identified and that the FBI, cybersecurity specialists, and Powerschool are taking steps to resolve the situation. Steps have been taken to make sure the data stolen was destroyed and not leaked. Specialists are monitoring the web to make sure the data does not get leaked on the internet.
Powerschool has assured all customers involved that there is no need to worry and they are fully cooperative with the actions that need to be taken to resolve the situation. We will update you as we get more information. The full response letter can be found here.
